The Faculty of Law, Charles University, is organising an international conference on Law and Artificial Intelligence - Challenges and Opportunities on 24 March 2023. The guiding theme is how to design the law to ensure that the technology we build today becomes the infrastructure of the society we want to live in tomorrow. We will focus on an analysis of both short-term and long-term challenges associated with law and artificial intelligence.
We invite contributions from all fields of law relevant to the topic.
We are especially looking forward to those addressing the following issues:
AI and human rights
AI and the state
AI and rising economic inequalities
AI and healthcare diagnostics and liability
AI and criminal law risk assessment
AI and Long-term challenges
The conference is especially suitable for young legal scholars who want to get feedback on their work. We anticipate a time of approximately 15-20 minutes for each presentation and additional time for a discussion.
The conference is planned as a hybrid event.
The conference will be held in the English language.
