Update regarding the distance learning until the end of Summer Semester 2020
Update regarding the distance learning until the end of Summer Semester 2020
Dear students and colleagues
I would like to share with you the information that the Dean´s Board adopted yesterday the decision that the rest of this semester will be conducted via e-learning in all English-taught programmes at the Law Faculty of Charles University. This includes also the final exams in the individual courses, which will be taken from distance. The tutors of the respective courses will be asked to clarify conditions for the exams in due time to all students enrolled for their courses.
Please believe us that we are truly sorry that this semester has been and will be so irregular but given the circumstances and rapid developments we are doing our best to provide alternative education, which would be enriching for the students and which they could also get their ECTS credits for.
It is not realistic to anticipate that the restrictions on the boarders will be lifted at any time before the end of this semester. As part of the foreign students still resides in the Czech Republic, while others study from their countries of origin, it is impossible to organize the rest of the semester in any other form but the distance learning.
I thank you for your understanding and wish the best to all of you,
Prof. JUDr. Milan Damohorsky, DrSc.
Vice-Dean for International Affaires
